Transforming mental healthcare

For me holistic therapy is about combining approaches and modalities that I have gathered over the decades of working with body and mind wellness. I use an interdisciplinary approach when working with a client. My training as a depth psychologist informs the way I consider the symptoms or issues a client may bring into their therapy session. I look for what is trying to emerge in consciousness either through the way a person shares their story, or how they hold their body, or through their dreams, . This way of listening and tending the field often helps me build rapport quickly. Building a sense of trust and presence is what helps people dive into deeper parts of themselves and the therapy.

Before diving into the deeper experiences I often begin the work by introducing essential cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions. This helps a person build tools and strategies to track, discern, and regulate their feelings and thoughts. Along with CBT and depth psychology, I help clients explore early relationships and the patterns that have evolved from them. In some cases I incorporate somatic psychology to better understand the mind body relationship. I find that for many clients it has been helpful to weave mindfulness and visualization into their sessions.

Virtual mental health

Virtual mental is transforming mental health services by providing access to therapy via your phone or computer. You no longer have to add extra time for commuting to and from therapy sessions, and you have the added convenance of being able to have your session in the comfort of your own home or office. Live video sessions are the similar to meeting in person, it provides the option to meet face to face in my virtual office via the internet. I offer both phone and video sessions depending on what you need and access to technology.
